JCI Awards

The JCI Halifax awards program’s main objectives are:

• To recognize member participation in the overall growth and success of the Greater Halifax Junior Chamber Chapter;
• To recognize the Chapter’s efforts nationally;
• To recognize the support of the business community to the Chapter.

JCI Halifax Awards

Chapter Awards

The following awards will be presented at the Chapter’s annual Christmas party.

Jaycee of the Year

Will be awarded to the member who goes above and beyond to contribute to the growth and success of the Chapter and of themselves. Check the Jaycee of the Year section for complete details!

Executive Member of the Year

Will be awarded to a member who has contributed significant time and talent to growing the Chapter and its membership as well as ensuring the goals and objectives set forth are met.

Committee Member of the Year

Will be awarded to a member who has dedicated time and efforts to running projects that contribute to fulfilling the mandate set forth by the Chapter Executive responsible for the portfolio.

Business Supporter of the Year

Will be awarded to a business member who has contributed to the success of the Chapter, by donating services, prizes or monetary contribution.

Effective Speaking Award

Will be awarded to the member who wins the Chapter competition. That person will then compete at the Regional Level. If successful as the winning candidate Regionally, the member will compete Nationally at the Canadian Junior Chamber competition.

JCI Canada National Awards

CJC Efficiency Award

Chapters who meet all the criteria of the efficiency award will be honored in General Assembly at the National Convention. To earn higher-level awards, chapters must meet all the efficiency award criteria in consecutive years.

Best Local Project (1 time event)

In recognition of the best local project among the award winners of the current year.

Best Local Program (Event that happens multiple times throughout the year)

In recognition of the best local program among the award winners of the current year.

Community Development Project

In recognition of the most outstanding community development project and program.

Individual Development Project

In recognition of the most outstanding project in the field of individual development.

Best Business Plan

In recognition of the most outstanding business plan submitted to National office.
